Rabbit Dies, Man Charged With Animal Cruelty

Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man is facing animal cruelty charges after his pet rabbit died in a cage outside his apartment.
Marcus Saylor, 20, left his pet rabbit outside in a cage in the hot weather, police said.
Police said they found the brown-and-white rabbit dead in a cage outside Saylor's apartment. The rabbit had no food or water, investigators said.
Saylor is being held in the Wake County jail on a $25,000 bond.
