Four all-star young adult authors will stop at Quail Ridge Books on Monday with their latest works.
The four, part of Penguin Teen on Tour, will be there at 7 p.m., Monday, at Quail Ridge in Raleigh's North Hills. They are:
- Renée Ahdieh is the author of the No. 1 New York Times bestselling "The Wrath and the Dawn" and "The Rose and the Dagger." She lives in Charlotte.
- Natalie C. Anderson is an American writer and international development professional living in Geneva, Switzerland. Her debut book is "City of Saints & Thieves." The book was recently optioned for film by Universal Pictures with Will Packer and Kerry Washington’s production companies in negotiations to produce.
- Alwyn Hamilton was born in Toronto and spent her childhood bouncing between Europe and Canada until her parents settled in France. Her book, "Traitor to the Throne," is a follow up to her bestselling debut "Rebel of the Sands," which was named a Best Young Adult Book of the Year by both Buzzfeed and Bustle.
- And Lesley Livingston is an award-winning author best known for her Wondrous Strange trilogy. In "The Valiant," she delves into the fascinating, true history of the female gladiators of the Roman Empire.
The books all are recommended for ages 12 and up. With young adult books, however, I recommend checking online reviews and parents guides to make sure the subject matter is right for your child.
