It's a busy few months for Quail Ridge Books & Music, which has some award-winning children's authors headed its way, including Henry Winkler of "Happy Days" fame!

Here's what's scheduled. Descriptions come courtesy of Quail Ridge Books.

7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6: Sheila Turnage visits with her new novel "The Ghosts of Tupelo Landing." Her first novel, Three Times Lucky, received a Newbery Honor, the SIBA Young Adult Award, was an Okra Pick and an Edgar Award finalist, and is on the current NC Battle of the Books list. There will be cake. For ages 9 and up.
7 p.m., Feb. 13: Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver visit with the first two books in their new series, Here's Hank. The smart, funny Hank we know from the Hank Zipzer books is back – as a second grader. Here's Hank No. 1 is Bookmarks are People, Too and No. 2 is A Short Tale About a Long Dog. For ages 6 and up. This is a signing line ticket event, which means you'll need to purchase either of the two books to get a ticket to have it signed. The store also will have books from Lin's Almost Identical series and her collection of new poems "Little Poems for Tiny Ears," which includes illustrations by Tomie DePaola.
7 p.m., March 3: Tom Angleberger visits with a new Origami Yoda book, Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue. This is the fifth book in the series. Can the kids of McQuarrie Middle School defeat the dark forces of Standardized Testing? Will Principal Rabbski join them? Looks like Princess Leia is the latest origami creation. For ages 9 and up.
3 p.m., March 16: Richard Peck, a Newbery Medal and Newbery Honor recipient, visits with his latest novel, an animal tale of a tail, "The Mouse with the Question Mark Tail." For ages 8 and up. “If you don’t like books by Richard Peck, there is probably something very wrong with you," says Lemony Snicket (a new favorite of my own eight-year-old daughter). You want to listen to Mr. Snicket! For ages 8 and up.
3 p.m., April 12: Elizabeth Langston (Whisper Falls) returns with A Whisper in Time, the sequel to her engaging historical fantasy. For ages 12 and up. (Note the updated time).
