Purses stolen from locked cars outside Cary day cares

Cary police are investigating a series of car break-ins that happened outside day cares Wednesday morning.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police are investigating a series of car break-ins that happened outside day cares Wednesday morning.

Four women at different centers reported leaving their purses inside their locked vehicles while they took their children inside.

When they returned, they found their windows smashed and purses stolen.

Cary say they will patrol the areas more vigilantly in the coming days.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to contact Cary police.

The police department recommends everyone to take valuables with them or hide them when they leave their vehicles, even if it's for a few minutes.
