Purse stolen from senior citizen in Walmart parking lot

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying two unknown men who targeted an 84 year-old victim in a Wal Mart parking lot theft in Lehigh Acres.

LEE COUNTY, FL — Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying two unknown men who targeted an 84 year-old victim in a Wal Mart parking lot theft in Lehigh Acres.

According to Crime Stoppers, on August 3rd, the victim exited the Wal Mart store on Lee Boulevard around 1:30 p.m., making her way to her parked vehicle. As she was loading groceries into the trunk of her car, two young men canvassing the parking lot ran over to her cart, stole her purse and quickly ran from the scene.

The two suspects were seen leaving in a silver or grey Ford Explorer Sport Trac pick up truck, which may have had a white tool box in the truck bed and a chrome brush guard on the front of the truck.

After leaving Wal Mart, the suspects used credit cards stolen from the victim's purse at multiple stores county-wide. Fortunately, the senior citizen was not injured during the incident, however a great deal of her personal information is now in the hands of the unidentified thieves.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
