Pullen Park gears up for October outdoor movie, dinner series

Pullen Park in Raleigh will host a free screening of a classic family movie every Friday night in October. And, Pullen Place Cafe will serve up a special menu of locally-sourced food and drinks that will be available for purchase.

Pullen Park in Raleigh will host a free screening of a classic family movie every Friday night in October. And, Pullen Place Cafe will serve up a special menu of locally-sourced food and drinks that will be available for purchase.

Games and activities also are planned for each evening before the movie begins. Table seating will be available on a limited first-come, first-served basis, according to a press release. The city recommends bringing your own lawn chairs and/or blankets. 

The series runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Here's the schedule (and hints for each of the classic family movies that are scheduled).

Oct. 6: Fried fish food (PG)
Oct. 13: Not an ordinary Friday (PG)
Oct. 20: Just keep digging…and digging… and digging… (PG)

Oct. 30: Reese’s Pieces are his favorite food (PG)

Sounds like a fun way to spend a cool fall evening!

It will take place on Pullen's event lawn. The park is at 408 Ashe Ave., Raleigh.
