Prostitution sting nets four arrests

Four people are facing charges after a prostitution sting operation along Martin Street, Idlewild Avenue and Wilmington Street in downtown Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Four people are facing charges after a prostitution sting operation along Martin Street, Idlewild Avenue and Wilmington Street in downtown Raleigh.

Kelli Jo Smith, 41, of 804 Green St. in Durham, Lisa Michelle Moore, 47, of 1131 Summerkings Court Apt. 102 in Raleigh, and Sharon Denise Clay, 45, of an unknown Raleigh address, were arrested and charged with prostitution Tuesday.

Lawyer Edward Gregory, 46, of an unknown Raleigh address, was charged with aiding and abetting prostitution.

Moore and Clay were being held Wednesday in the Wake County jail under separate $2,000 bonds. Smith and Gregory were being held in the same jail under separate $1,000 bonds.

All four are scheduled to be in court May 25.
