A proposed shopping center is coming to southeast Raleigh and there may be a national grocer as the anchor.

According to an article from the Raleigh Public Record, site plan drawings for the proposed shopping center at the intersection of Poole Road and New Hope Road will contain a grocer as the anchor store. The specific store has not yet been officially announced, but the drawings indicate that a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market will anchor the development.

During a recent meeting of the Southeast Citizens Advisory Council, a representative from the company that designed the site plan drawing would not commit to which store would serve as the anchor. As more information is released, we'll let you know.

For more details on the center, head to RaleighPublicRecord.org.
