RALEIGH, N.C. — Procter & Gamble is helping the Special Olympics with a special holiday promotion.

For every coupon used on items from mouthwash to laundry detergent, Procter & Gamble will donate 3 cents to the Special Olympics.

In North Carolina, the money raised will benefit some 38,000 Special Olympics participants.

The organization benefits children and adults with developmental disabilities.

The coupons, which expire on Jan. 31, appear in Sunday’s News & Observer newspaper.
