Probe finds four tests given incorrectly at Wake school

Posted October 31, 2008

— An investigation into allegation of testing irregularities at Knightdale Elementary School found four tests were administered improperly, state officials said.

The state Department of Public Instruction received a complaint in July concerning testing procedures at the school. The complaint came from outside the Wake County district, officials said.

Investigators found four end-of-grade tests were administered improperly according to the students' needs. Officials consider the test scores invalid.

About the same time the investigation began, former Knightdale Elementary Principal Michael Williams was suspended with pay. He later requested and was granted a transfer to Wakefield High School, where he is an assistant principal.

Former Knightdale Elementary Principal Judy Dudley is serving as interim principal at the school.

Well that story was very detailed. You can get a misadministration because a kid got sick during the EOG tests. Why don't you tell WHY the tests were administered improperly?
