Probationer sought on armed robbery charges

The Wake County Sheriff's Office is seeking a probationer who ran Saturday when deputies tried to serve with seven warrants for charges including assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office is seeking a probationer who ran Saturday when deputies tried to serve with seven warrants for charges including assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.

Pablo Gonzalo Marcano, 21, of 9700 Cyprus Farm Road in Zebulon, was headed toward the Johnston County line, spokeswoman Phyllis Stevens said.

Marcano is 5 feet 10 tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.

The state Department of Correction lists Marcano as an absconder from probation. DOC records show he was convicted in 2006 on three counts of common-law robbery and one of assault inflicting serious injury.
