MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A private plane ran off the runway at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Friday night, an airport spokesman said.
Two people and a dog were on board when the plane had mechanical issues while landing around 9:20 p.m., spokesman Jake Potter said.
The plane, a Piper Archer, ran off the runway about 10 feet. No injuries were reported.
The airfield was closed for about 10 minutes as a precaution for crews to inspect the area, Potter said.
The airport then returned to functioning as normal.
