Prairie Ridge Ecostation moves storytime hour

Gnome house at Prairie Ridge Ecostation

A very quick post to note that the weekly storytime at Prairie Ridge Ecostation in west Raleigh has been moved from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursdays.

The outdoor research and learning space for the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences launched the regular storytime for preschoolers and their adults last month. I'm told the slight time change helps staff, who also plan a story time at the same time at the museum in downtown Raleigh (another great activity). The later time might also mean the air might be a bit warmer as we head into fall.

I've updated the post that originally featured the storytime to include the new time. I highly recommend this great and free activity, which now starts at 10:30 a.m., Thursdays. It's also a great way to mark Take a Child Outside Week, which runs Sept. 24 to Sept. 30.
