Power restored to 9,100 Fuquay-Varina customers

— About 9,100 Progress Energy customers were without power in Fuquay-Varina early Wednesday.

Crews restored power by 5:30 a.m.

Officials blamed the power outage on a piece of equipment that failed at a substation. No other information was available.

    Don't think that this is a problem. If it were Duke power, you would be waiting 30 days for them to find someone who isn't a Union Lackey on a smoke break to fix it.

    They forgot to report that 2 squirrels ran across the power lines a couple of blocks over from the faulty equipment.
