Power restored to 10K in Fayetteville

A blown transformer knocked out power to approximately 10,000 customers of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission Monday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A blown transformer temporarily knocked out power to approximately 10,000 customers of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission Monday morning.

The power outage started at 7:11 a.m., and crews restored service by 8:30 a.m., said Carolyn Hinson, with FPWC.

The outage was concentrated in downtown and central Fayetteville.
