<b>ANGIER, N.C.</b> — Angier Elementary School will be closed Friday due to a power outage, school officials said Thursday night.

A fire at an outside electrical transformer knocked out power to the school. The building itself was not damaged, however.

The school day will be made up on Monday, Oct. 28, which was a scheduled teacher work day.

North Harnett Primary School is not affected by the outage and will have classes on Friday.
