Cary, N.C. — About 2,200 Cary residents lost power for about two hours Saturday morning when a cable inside a transformer box on Cary Parkway shorted out, Progress Energy officials said.
The outage impacted customers between High House Road and Bond Lake Road and knocked out several traffic lights in the area, Cary police said.
Crews from Progress Energy fixed the cable by noon.
