Potter Party! Quail Ridge plans party for July release

If you have a Harry Potter fan in the house who missed out on all of the big book releases because they were too young, here's your chance.

Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh will hold a Release Party to celebrate the publication of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II," which comes out on July 31 (which Potter fans will note is Harry's birthday). The book is actually the script of a play opening in London's West End on July 30. It is based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, according to Quail Ridge.

The event is 10 p.m. to midnight, July 30. There will be a costume contest, activities and more. If you want to attend, though, the key is to buy a copy of the book from Quail Ridge, which will get you two admission tickets to the party. At the time of purchase, you also can buy two more $5 admission tickets. These all are only available with a purchase of the book from Quail Ridge.
