Popular local restaurant announces expansion into Morgan Street Food Hall

The hall and market is being described as a "new lifestyle dining concert; not to be confused with a food court," according to the venue's website.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Sassool Mediterranean restaurant will be opening a location in Morgan Street Food Hall and Market, a new dining and shopping concept inside downtown Raleigh's Warehouse District, owner Mounir Saleh announced Tuesday.
Sassool's already has locations in north Raleigh and Cary. The Morgan Street location will feature a condensed menu will popular menu items including falafel and shawarma, along with grab-and-go options like hummus, pita bread and tabouli. Several vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items will also be sold.

The name "Sassool" is a nickname for Mounir's mother, Cecilia, whose authentic Lebanese recipes were used to build the restaurant’s menu.

Sassool is hoping to open its Morgan Street Food Hall location in July.

Morgan Street Food Hall and Market will be located at 411 W. Morgan St. The more than 22,000 square-foot space will include partnerships with local eaters, restaurants and food retailers.
