Poor air quality expected in Triangle Tuesday

Posted August 18, 2008

— The state Division of Air Quality has issued a Code Orange warning for the Triangle Tuesday.

Elevated ozone could make breathing difficult for those who are sensitive to air pollution.

High ozone levels generally occur on hot, sunny days with stagnant air. The very young or old and people with chronic lung conditions such as asthma, bronchitis and emphysema should limit time outdoors, especially in the afternoon.

I think we are the sister city of Bejing China since we are having a problem with air quality.

I mean really - we have three or four days out of the summer of bad air and Bejing is 24/7 365 and we are the bad guys for not signing the treaty to improve air quality.

Very sick envirowhackos are driving it. They can't get over that we are ahead of most industrialized countries when it comes to air quality.

The air quality warnings often turn out to be false alarms, but the air from that wildfire, there was no denying that was poor quality air:

So what was the deal yesterday? We came back from the mountains, and from Greensboro east, it smelled pretty strongly of smoke... is that still the coastal fires?
