Police: Winston-Salem crematory employee took his work home

State regulators suspended the license of a crematory service in Winston-Salem after finding cremated remains at an employee's home.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — State regulators suspended the license of a crematory service in Winston-Salem after finding cremated remains at an employee's home.

An employee of Cremation Services told police he had 93 sets of human remains at his home. Police believe he planned to dispose of them.

The North Carolina board of Funeral Services set a hearing on the case for May 10.
