Police opened a homicide investigation Friday night after a Wilson man was found dead in his home.

<b>WILSON, N.C.</b> — Police opened a homicide investigation Friday night after a Wilson man was found dead in his home.

Officers responded to a call just before 10 p.m. to 1011 Branch St. When they arrived, officers found 41-year-old Kenan Lamont Newton, who was dead.

The cause of Newton's death was not released.
