— Raleigh police said that an 18-year-old man is in jail after he tried to rob four men and shot one man in the stomach Friday night.

Police said that Donovan Moenell Williams tried to rob the men – ranging in age from 22 to 41 – at Fox Ridge Manor Road, off Rock Quarry Road, around 10:45 p.m. The group fought back, and Williams fired his gun, striking Arnuofo Cinseros-Saguilan, police said.

The group detained Williams until police arrived and took him into custody.

Cinseros-Saguilan, 41, was in stable condition at WakeMed Saturday, police said.

Williams is charged with attempted armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was being held in the Wake County Jail under a $250,000 bond Saturday afternoon. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

According to state Department of Correction records, Williams was placed on probation in April 2008 after being convicted of assaulting or threatening a government employee and using or possessing drug paraphernalia.

    "Right On" crime victims!
However, he does look too good to have been held down until law enforcement arrived.

I was thinking the same thing.... Adrenaline does some strange things to your judgement, and I'm suprised that he isn't in a prison hospital ward.

Hopefully the victim will be all right, and hopefully (if the investigation bears out the allegations) a long stay at the Central Hilton will follow.

From the picture, he looks to be in pretty good shape to have been detained by the victims. I would have expected a few bumps and bruises.
