Police: Teen took rifle, jacket from car
Police linked the crime to Dakota James Murray, 16, of 203 Rosson Drive in Pikeville, and charged him with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm and misdemeanor larceny.
Posted — UpdatedGOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police arrested a 16-year-old Wednesday on charges he stole a rifle, scope, watch and jacket from a parked car.
The victim reported his car was broken into on March 16 while parked in the 700 block of West Chestnut Street.
Police linked the crime to Dakota James Murray, 16, of 203 Rosson Drive in Pikeville, and charged him with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm and misdemeanor larceny. Murray was being held in the Wayne County Jail on $10,000 secured bond.
