Police: Subway restaurant robber may have struck again

A man who robbed two Subway restaurants earlier this year may have struck again Wednesday night, Raleigh police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man who robbed two Subway restaurants earlier this year may have struck again Wednesday night, Raleigh police said.

At about 9 p.m., the Subway at 5410 Six Forks Road was robbed at gunpoint.

The man lingered in the restaurant until a customer left and then committed the robbery, police said. He was last seen fleeing the restaurant on foot.

The customer who was in the store just before the robbery was described as a white woman with long blonde hair. She was driving a newer model silver car and was thought to be in her thirties.

Police said they want to interview her and are asking that she come forward by calling 919-890-3555.

The robber is described as a black man in his twenties, with a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, a hat and sunglasses.

His description is similar to those from two other Subway robberies.
