DURHAM, N.C. — A five-hour standoff with Durham police came to an end Tuesday with no reports of injuries.

Police department spokeswoman Kammie Michael said police were called shortly after noon Tuesday to a home on Barnsdale Court off South Roxboro Street after a man allegedly threatened a security guard.

Michael said the man went into his house and refused to come out.

After hours of negotiation to try to get the man to surrender, officers with the police department's Selective Enforcement Team went into the home and got the man, Michael said.

No one has been injured, and it wasn't immediately clear if the man had a weapon.
