DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police were searching for several people early Friday who authorities say were involved in a shooting and wreck at an apartment complex on Dearborn Drive.

According to investigators, groups of people in two cars exchanged gunfire at about 11:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Oxford Manor apartments.

One bullet went through an apartment window during the shooting, and another hit a car in the parking lot, but no injuries were reported.

After the shooting, the cars took off, and one of the vehicles – a black Ford Mustang – crashed into another car near the intersection of Dearborn Drive and Old Oxford Road.

The driver of the third vehicle, which was not involved in the shooting, suffered minor injuries, police said.

Following the wreck, three or four people inside the Mustang fled the area on foot.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the incident should call Durham police.
