— Raleigh police asked Thursday for the public's help in identifying a man caught on surveillance video during the burglary of a dental office at 8301 Bradford Way on the night of April 10.

Investigators said that the perpetrator took cash that was on hand there for business operations. They were also looking at whether the man was involved in similar burglaries.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation should call the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at 919-996-3555 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help to clear cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.

Thieves aren't generally known to be very bright.

These people must want their 15 minutes of fame and the only way to get it for free is through surveillance cameras. I mean, are they stupid or what?
