— Police were searching Monday for a man who robbed a Zebulon bank.

A masked man walked into a PNC Bank branch at 300 N. Arendell Ave. at about 10:30 a.m. and demanded money, police said. He fled on foot out the back of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He didn't display a weapon, and no injuries were reported, police said.

The robber was described as black, 5 foot 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, a red scarf or bandana, thick gray gloves and black tennis shoes.

Zebulon police said they are also looking for a white, newer-model, four-door sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion or a Cadillac CTS. The driver of the car was at a nearby Rite Aid at the time of the robbery and might have information that could assist in the investigation, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Zebulon Police Department at 919-823-1818 or East Wake Crime Stoppers at 919-366-2746.

Blame the bleeding hearts for this. Wanting people off the streets until we actually get them off the streets and then we are too hard on them

This appears to be a young black male. Maybe someone observe him putting on the scarf and gloves before entering the building. I do hope they catch him soon.

Grasping...that looks like a walmart bag he is using...I wonder if he picked up his scarf or gloves from WALMART(one mile away) before coming to the bank. Walmart has cameras too.
