Police seek suspect in three armed robberies

Fayetteville police are searching for a 30-year-old man wanted in three armed robberies in late September and early October.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for a 30-year-old man wanted in three armed robberies in late September and early October.

Office have charged George Lee Walton, whose last known address was 1009 Hillsboro St., with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators believe Walton robbed the His and Hers store on Bragg Boulevard Sept. 28; Marathon BTO on Ramsey Street Oct 2 and Sunco on Yadkin Road Oct. 3.

Police described Walton as a black man, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown dreadlocks and a tattoo on his arm.

Anyone with information about Walton's whereabouts should call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers never have to identify themselves.
