— Police said Thursday that they are looking for two vehicles in connection with a September hit-and-run in Chapel Hill that injured a Durham man.

Joseph Russo, 23, was hit on U.S. Highway 15/501 near East Lakeview Drive at about 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 29, police said. He was treated for serious injuries at Duke University Hospital.

Investigators said they determined that Russo was likely struck by two vehicles, which might have been a 1995-1999 Subaru Legacy sedan and a full size pickup. The sedan would have had significant front passenger-side damage, they said.

Anyone with information about either vehicle is asked to call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.
