Police charge Raleigh bank robbery suspect

Authorities said that the man entered the North State Bank at 230 Fayetteville Street alone at about 10 a.m. and passed a robbery note to bank personnel.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have charged a man who they said robbed a Fayetteville Street bank Thursday morning.

Anthony Errol Mitchell, 47, of 2802 Oberry St., Raleigh, was charged with robbery with a dangerous in connection to the robbery.

Authorities said a man entered the North State Bank at 230 Fayetteville Street alone at about 10 a.m. and passed a robbery note to bank personnel. The employee complied with the demands and the man fled on foot, heading north on Fayetteville Street.
