Police seek man in armed robbery at Fayetteville gas station

Police said that officers responded to the Marathon Gas Station at 5000 Ramsey Street just before 10 a.m.  Tuesday in response to a reported armed robbery.

— Fayetteville police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station Tuesday morning.

Police said that officers responded to the Marathon Gas Station at 5000 Ramsey Street just before 10 a.m. in response to a reported armed robbery.

Investigators said that a man entered, approached the cash register with a gun in his hand and demanded money from the register. The man fled on foot down Treetop Drive with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The man is described as being about 6 feet tall, black and wearing a black jacket, dark jeans, a gray fitted baseball hat and a mask covering his nose and mouth.
