Police seek green-sneakered bandit in Raleigh bank robbery

A man wearing bright green sneakers robbed a north Raleigh bank Monday afternoon, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man wearing bright green sneakers robbed a north Raleigh bank Monday afternoon, police said.

The man walked into the Wells Fargo branch at 4560 Capital Blvd. shortly after 12:30 p.m., handed a note to a teller demanding money and walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect is described as having dark skin with noticeable acne. He is about 5 and a half feet tall and weighs about 125 pounds, police said. Surveillance photos show the man wearing blue jeans, a brown T-shirt and a blue bucket hat.

The man was last seen headed toward Calvary Drive, police said.
