Police searching for two suspects in connection with Fayetteville armed robbery

Authorities responded to a report of an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver at the 7000 block of Ainsley Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities responded to a report of an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver at the 7000 block of Ainsley Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday in Fayetteville.

Two men robbed the delivery driver at gun point when he arrived at the home to make the delivery, officials said. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, a 2004 Saturn Ion.

One suspect is described as a 6-foot black male weighing about 200 pounds. Authorities said he has short hair and was seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male between 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8 tall and about 180 pounds with a blonde afro. Officials said the suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. No additional information has been released.
