SPRING LAKE, N.C. — Police are asking for help from the public in locating two men who robbed a convenience store Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said that two men entered a Kangaroo convenience store at 2820 Lillington Highway in Spring Lake at 1:35 a.m.

One man is described as being about six feet in height while the other is described as being about five feet ten inches in height. The shorter man was described as having his hair picked into an afro with a blond streak in it.

Police said that the men left the store and got into a 1990’s model black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a donut spare tire on the front passenger side and a strap around the rear bumper that extended into the trunk. The paint on the hood and trunk of the car was faded and peeling off, said the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of the men is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
