Posted October 26, 2016

round 1:30 a.m. on Friday, authorities found the body of 44-year-old Olha Kocherhina behind a behind a business located at 5109 New Bern Ave.

— A couple was living in a van behind an east Raleigh furniture store when the wife was killed last month, according to a search warrant.

Olha Kocherhina, 44, was found dead behind Kimbrell's Furniture, at 5109 New Bern Ave., on Sept. 16. Her husband, Volodymyr Kocherhin, 51, has been charged with murder in her death.

According to an application for a warrant to search a 2004 Chevrolet Express parked near where Kocherhina was found, Kocherhin called 911 to report his wife was dead, and paramedics found her beaten and bleeding on the ground behind the store.

Paramedics said it appeared Kocherhina had been moved before she died, the search warrant application states.

Investigators spotted a mattress, bedding and clothing inside the van, which had no engine, and a security guard said she had seen the van before and believed someone was living in it, according to the warrant application.

The security guard saw the van and believed that someone had been living in it. This is what security does now? Nothing? I need that job. Getting paid to do nothing. Not saying that it was the fault of security but imagine if SECURITY had done something about the van other than believe that someone was living in it.
