Authorities are searching for a 19-year-old man wanted in the October death of a Dudley man.

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said they have obtained a warrant charging Gerald George Lee with murder. Lee is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with close-cropped hair.

Deputies said he has been seen in the Devonshire Drive area of Dudley and in the area of Pineview Cemetery Road near Indian Springs Road.

Lee is wanted in the Oct. 24 shooting death of Justin Travis Lancaster, 25. Deputies responded to a call about a person in the street about 11:20 p.m. and found Lancaster dead on Linen Lane in Goldsboro.

Deputies did not say what evidence linked Lee to the crime.

Anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts is asked to Lt. Carl Lancaster or Sgt. Richard Winders at the sheriff’s office at 919-731-1480 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.

Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, and callers may remain confidential.
