Police search for man who tried to rob Raleigh bank

Raleigh, N.C. — Police were searching Friday for a man who tried to rob a Bank of America branch in north Raleigh.
The man went into the bank at 5005 Capital Blvd. at about 1 p.m. and passed a note to a bank employee demanding money and implying that he had a weapon, police said.
He left the bank before receiving any money and was last seen fleeing on foot, police said.
The man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a tattoo on the left side of his neck. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt, a hat with a camouflage pattern, shorts with a black-white-and-gray camouflage pattern and black-and-white sneakers.
