Police search for man who robbed Chapel Hill bank

Chapel Hill police are searching for the man who robbed a PNC Bank Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities said that a man entered the PNC Bank on East Rosemary Street at 4:47 p.m. and demanded money while displaying a weapon.

The man left the bank on foot, traveling toward North Street with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The man is described as being black, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, between the ages of 50 and 60 with a slender build. He was wearing glasses, a black baseball cap, a navy blue polo shirt with green and white stripes and a black jacket with a red design on it.
