Police search for Fayetteville bank robber

Police were searching Monday for a woman who robbed a First Citizens Bank branch in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching Monday for a woman who robbed a First Citizens Bank branch in Fayetteville.

The woman walked into the bank, at 126 Broadfoot Ave., at about 9:45 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money, police said. She fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The woman was described as black, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a blue coat, a dark knit hat, dark capri-style pants, dark shoes and sunglasses with gold trim.
