Police search for armed man after Fuquay-Varina bank robbery

Fuquay-Varina police were looking for an armed man Thursday morning after he robbed a bank.

— Fuquay-Varina police were looking for an armed man Thursday morning after he robbed a bank.

According to a town spokeswoman, the man robbed the PNC Bank at 1381 N. Main St. at about 9:30 a.m. The man left the bank on foot and went toward Sunset Lake Road.

Authorities said he was wearing gray sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt, dark gray or black hat, dark glasses and gray athletic shoes.

No injuries were reported during the robbery. Anyone with information about the man's identity should call the Fuquay-Varina Police Department at 919-552-3191.

    Bob Goulet, evidently the bank robber didn't care about any laws … It seems ONLY the law-abiding citizens follow laws.
