Clayton, N.C. — Clayton police said Wednesday they do not think foul play is involved in the case of a woman found dead in her apartment earlier this week.
The 56-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was found dead Tuesday inside her apartment at Amelia Village on Keswick Lane. The body was discovered by a family member who had not seen her for several days and went to check on her.
Police said the case remains open and they are awaiting results of an autopsy from the medical examiner's office.
