Police: Rocky Mount man killed in Wednesday shooting

Rocky Mount police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man Wednesday evening.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man Wednesday evening. 

Officers responding to a shooting call about 9 p.m. and found Stanley Thomas, of the 1500 block of Tadlock Avenue, dead in the front of a home. 

According to investigators, Thomas was shot by one of two suspects who fled the scene toward Fountain and Barnes streets. 

No other information about the shooting was immediately released.
