— A 22-year-old Raleigh man was charged with embezzlement Saturday after police say he stole $1,000 from the ice cream store where he worked.

According to arrest warrants, Angel Adrian Juarez-Rangal, of 513 Tartan Circle, stole the money from Dairy Queen, 1105 Walnut St. in Cary, where he worked as a clerk.

He was taken to the Wake County jail and placed on an immigration detainer to determine whether he is in the country illegally. His bond was set at $3,000.

HokieDokie? : apparently you know everything, He came here and was thoroughly educated in the wcpss. GRADUATED FROM MIDDLE CREEK, so yeah you're completely right, he came here uneducated, and lots of "illegals" can't even get into college. For one thing, you are right, if people are too lazy to get up and go after a job, then don't criticize when people want to get jobs to send money home, they are doing it for good, not to take anything from you.

come on coach K, 2 weeks on a ice hold for a ticket of doing 65 in a 55 mile an hr zone. If it was you or I, we would have got the ticket, gone to court and that would been the end of it. And it the ticket was dismissed because the officer never showed up in court cause there was no way he could have been going so fast in the area he was at. Yes he was biased, he didn't have to put him in Ice hold, he had all his necessary papers with him.

I still think he was doing his job... give the ticket and check legal status if he is suspicious, right?

So you feel that he blatantly decided to give this guy a hard time b/c of his name only... I guess you don't read the paper or watch the news... ILLEGAL'S slip into this country/state undetected day in and day out... I commend the officer for what he/she did, if they're legal, GREAT!!

If they're ILLEGAL they've got to go!!!!
    that's it!!

    Plain and simple...

Listen, people. Take it from someone who knows. They are coming across the border with less than hs educations, speak little English, going to comm. college and getting educated in trades (HVAC, electrical, landscaping, etc.) then getting good-paying jobs and sending the money back home. If you are unemployed, get off your duff and check out the trades and take their jobs.

Can understand some peoples frustration, but if the man was a US citizan then the verification process should be done if in question and there must have been a reason, you cannot stop law enforcement from doing the job many are asking of them during these times, but in fairness to this young man the process should be done fairly quick and without being unjustly locked up,there is no easy out on this matter until we do secure our borders and have a single means of citizan verification as many immigrants do find ways in obtaining documents of citizanship that are not legitimate.

What a great strategery........That does it, I'm movin' into the bank vault now, and if I can remain undetected long enough, all that money will be mine one day.....and anybody that says any different is just a mean 'ol stinky-headed bigoted racist. America is such a wonderful country, the land of opportunity! ;)

My husband got a ticket once and he is Hispanic, they placed him on an ice hold. He was born in Texas and so was his mother and father and their mother and father, they kept him 2 weeks even though he had his birth cert. and social security card. So if your skin is brown even if you are a citizen they are wasting all our tax payers money checking on this stuff for sometimes no reason. And it was all because of a speeding ticket which got dismissed when he went to court. So I agree, some of the police officers are bias against Hispanics.

If he was speeding, then the officer did his/her job... How's that make them biased????

Perhaps... if your husband was abiding by the speed limit, maybe you woudln't feel this way...???

    Just curious...
I'm glad everything worked out for him...
