Police: Man robs Garner bank for second time

Posted February 21, 2012

— Police were looking for a 32-year-old Raleigh man Tuesday after he allegedly robbed a Garner bank for the second time.

Police said they believe Lemar Raymon Dasher used a note to demand money at the RBC Bank, at 1027 U.S. Highway 70, around 3:15 p.m. He fled the scene in a 2000 silver Dodge Caravan with license tag AFV-5889, investigators said.

Dasher was convicted of robbing the same bank in 2008.

Warrants were issued for Dasher Tuesday, but he was not in custody.

My sister was the first teller robbed by him. He ran to NY after the robbery but was dumb enough to come back to see his ex. I'm sure he is already out of the state. Let's see if he's dumb enough to come back again!

Let's see. If you rob a bank and net say....$12,000. You go to jail and come out again in 3.5 years. During those 3.5 years you're provided with health care, a roof, 3 meals and don't have to work.

$12-K (I just made that number up) is probably more money than this guy has ever seen in his life so it's worth the risk to him. Sooner or later though, he's not going to use a note anymore, he's going to use a gun.

Rob a bank....hide the money....go to jail for a short while....get out & have money!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go to jail...eat, sleep & be merry - then get out & do it all over again:)

wow...i am truly amazed at the level of stupidity contained within this middle aged criminal, lets just hope he doesn't have kids or a weapon. May I suggest a longer sentence this time? He apparently didn't get the lesson, or he's just ran out of cash he stashed from the first robbery.

You would think he would at least rob a different bank. Maybe he wants to be back in jail. Free place to sleep, free food & clothes.

CLR only carries about two years. He served and got out in 2010.

Well, if you rob a bank in 2008, and it's 4 years later and you are out on the street, obviously there's very little risk of punishment, so do it again! Wonderful job by our justice system.
