Police: Man robbed in Porthole Alley on UNC's campus

Chapel Hill, N.C. — A man was robbed early Saturday morning by four men on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus, according to a campus-wide alert.
The victim, who was not a student, was approached around 3 a.m. by four men in Porthole Alley just off Franklin Street. The suspects physically assaulted the victim and took his cell phone.
When UNC police arrived, two suspects fled the scene in a silver vehicle, and the two others tried to flee on foot but were caught by police.
The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated, and he did not report seeing a weapon.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat.
The identities of the suspects and victim were not released.
