— Goldsboro police arrested a 42-year-old man Thursday for allegedly raping and giving an illegal substance to a minor.

Quadius Nathaniel Gaines, who also goes by Alvin Nathaniel Gaines Jr., was charged with four counts of statutory rape of a person who is 13-, 14- or 15-years-old and one count of delivering a controlled substance to a person under 16 by a person 18 or older.

Gaines, of 1901-B E. Holly St., was being held in the Wayne County Jail Friday under a $100,000 bond.

Police opened an investigation into Gaines in May after receiving a report from the Department of Social Services.

"You're a bunch of sheep commenting on the topic of the day that is spoon fed you".

MakoII - I usually agree with your comments. I usually find that you make many good points, but today, I think you are off base. As I know you comment frequently on many of the daily topics, your above statement appears hypocritical.

Nonetheless, I am glad WRAL and other news organizations bring this disgusting problem to light by reporting the stories. The more people talk about it the greater chance of something being done about it. It's better then people sitting around with their heads in the sand and pretending it doesn't exist. If the charges are true and he is guilty, then lock him up for the rest of his natural life.

parent's don't have to know their kids actions 24/7 it's called being a good parent and instilling GOOD MORALS in your child. half the kids doing these crazy things have no care in the world for their actions because we make laws for the adults to be punished and not them.

WRAL- stop saying "had sex with" when you actually mean "raped". This misuse of language has negative consequences for rape victims. When it is legally rape, use the verb "raped"!

Stop taking the WRAL bait. This happens everyday, in most countries legally.

So today there are numerous such stories by WRAL today. What's tomorrows Theme?

You're a bunch of sheep commenting on the topic of the day that is spoon fed you.

You'll all conveniently forget it before the weekend...

    DeathRow-IFeelYourPain-NOT

If your teenage child tells you she's going to the mall do you follow her or take her...How do you know she's at the mall?
Gotta stay aftershcool- no teacher calls you, do you stay after with her...how do you know she's at school?

We have all been teens and we know how the game goes, unless you stay at home all day there is no way of knowing where a teen is 24/7, period, and even then you may not know.

Issue is, as I posted on the other blog, educate these children.

NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU MAY WANT TO CONVIENCE YOURSELF, YOU CAN NOT KEEP YOUR EYE ON YOUR TEEN 24/7 THEREFORE THEY CAN FIND TIME TO DO THINGS THAT PARENTS DON'T APPROVE OF, WE ALL DID IT AND THEY WILL TOO NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A GOOD PARENT YOU ARE, THEY DON'T REALIZE THE DANGERS THAT ARE OUT HERE AND THEY THINK WE'RE JUST TRYING TO KILL THEIR FUN. STOP TRYING TO BLAME ALL PARENTS. Can't speak on this case but people kill me acting as if this can't happen to them, it can.

And his bond is only set at $100,000???? What's up with that?

GOLO won't let me say what I want to have done to this man, if he's found guilty.

Praying for the child...sex and drugs, whooo - both hard to kick.

    God bless.
