Authorities said that a man in his mid-40s fondled a woman in the library at about 11 a.m.

The man is described as being about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a fisherman style hat, a short-sleeve tan shirt with a black collar, dark pants and a gold watch. The man was also carrying a green backpack, authorities said.

Police did not disclose the man's race.

So this description is only based on his clothes. I guess you really don't want the public's help in finding the perp.

They are so afraid that they will offend someone,, I'm willing to bet the police report given to the press did not mention the race.

Race is rarely mentioned in these type of stories. If the race is not as described they're afraid of liable suites. They could as least say a light, or dark complected individual without insinuating a particular race.

Maybe his race might help narrow it down a little more.
