Police locate teen charged with murder of Fayetteville man

Police on Friday located a teenager charged with murder in connection to a shooting death Monday in the 1900 block of Boxwood Lane in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Friday located a teenager charged with murder in connection to a shooting death Monday in the 1900 block of Boxwood Lane in Fayetteville.

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting on Boxwood Lane on Monday afternoon found Victor Cirello, 63, dead inside the office of a mobile home park. Three men were seen fleeing the area.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department, in a joint effort with the Greensboro Police Department, located Quintien Terrell Swannin, 17, in the 1400 block of Larson Street in Greensboro Friday evening.

Swann, of Gillis Street, was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the case.

Swann was taken into custody and has been transported to Cumberland County officials. He will appear before a magistrate and taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center for processing.

Police are currently searching for a second suspect, Travis Edward Jefferson. An arrest warrant was issued Friday afternoon for Jefferson, 22, of Southern Avenue, charging him with first-degree murder.

No further information has been released. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
